I have Vista Home Premium and Internet Explorer 8 as well as AVAST and Superantispyware. No matter what I do, Flash Player will not install — I have followed the advice given in Yahoo Answers but to no avail — could IE8 be the problem?

I did a search for empty folders on my MacBook and found thousands of empty folders in User/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects. If is running 10.4.11. I am on a work computer but need the player – yes for work purposes…lol!

I’ve been trying to download the latest version of flash player but a bar keeps coming up the top of the internet window. It says it’s stopping the page from working because ActiveX is working in an unsafe way or something along those lines.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
